I have some users who has a problem with using Word as the e-mail editor. Intermittantly they get an "Out of Memory Error" when trying to create new email. The only way around the issue is to end the winword.exe process and restart outlook

The user would like to carry on using Word as the email editor. Has anybody come across this issue and know a way to avoid this error from appearing

We are running Windows 2000 Server (AD) with Exchange 2000 and Windows XP with Office XP on the desktop.

Does anything get loaded together with Word (templates, macro's, Adobe
Acrobat integration and such)? Have you reset the normal.dot file already?

The normal.dot file has been deleted and recreated, we even re-built the PC and re-created users profile
The problem occurs intermittantly but there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it
I have found this problem mentioned in Google groups but with older version of Outlook and Word.

Does it happen when you configure the mailbox as a separate profile on your
machine with your username? If so the error is in the mailbox itself. You
can then easily solve it by using exmerge on the Exchange server to export
the mailbox. Then delete and recreate the mailbox and import the exmerged
mailbox again.
