This is sort of a question and a comment. Everytime I open Windows Live
Messenger, before a minute has gone by from being visible, Vista says its not
working, then closes it, giving me no idea why it isnt working and no way to
figure it out. Any advice would be greately appreciated.

The comment part is for the people at microsoft to get their s#!t together.
They delay Vista for so long and it still has bugs so bad as to not give any
idea as to what is wrong with the program.

So tempted to go get a refund...

Upgrade or clean install?

Tried closing down background programs? Have you made any modifications to
your hosts file that relate to WLM?

No problems here with WLM and Windows Vista.

I'm mystified as to why people are having this problem.

My suggestion?

1. Uninstall Windows Live Messenger.

2. Go here ---> http://get.live.com/messenger/overview

3. Click on the "Get it now" button to start the download.

4. After you've finished that, close all open programs (and
disable any AntiVirus software running in the background).

5. Double click on the file you just downloaded to start the
install.

6. The rest is self-explanatory.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
