MULTIMEDIA TOOL DURING PRESENTATION, IN ORDER TO STOP,START AND CONTRON THE
MOVIE.

IS IT POSSIBLE IN POWERPOINT 2003 AND HOW CAN I DO IT

Instead of using 'Insert Movie From File', try the following:

From 'Insert' menu, select 'Insert Object', scroll down the object list and
select 'Windows Media Player'. (This gives you a 'mini' (sizeable) Media
Player object in your slide that provide play, pause and slider control.)

Right click on the player object, select 'Properties' and set the 'URL'
property to the location of your media clip, and off you go!!

If you use insert > object > windows media player and then right click >
properties
Use custom to locate your video file.

You will get full control including volume!
