hello microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics!
i have a home made computer with 1.0 ghz cpu, two hdds,
one has the windows xp o.s. installed on it, the other is
ready to have installed the "freebsd" o.s.
i am not sure if the xp allows the presence of a
different o.s. although installed on different hdd.
can anyone bestow upon me some word of wisdom on this
subject, prior to create a mess the xp o.s?
thanks for the help.

Boot Manager. The one supplied by XP won't work with the proposed setup. A
third party solution (plenty to choose from) such as Boot It NG should do
nicely: www.terabyteunlimited.com

I use Vcom's System Commander, and am well pleased with it... It is a
bit pricey, but I think it is well worth it in the long run for the
aggravation it prevents. along with Multiple OSes, it has on the fly
partitioning and type of partitions, and seems to be pretty trouble
free......

(This is not an ad, and I am just a satisfied user of the software,
and do not work for Vcom in any way.)
