Using two hard disk and still receiving aa alert for low
space on disk. Second harddrive not automatically being
used. can they be configured as one space but differnt
partitions? I added a large without removing the original
drive.

When you add a second drive it is accessed through a new drive letter. If
you had a cd origianlly you probably had your hdd as C: and the cd as D:.
If you are running XP or Win2K you will need to right click my computer,
select manage, disk management, right click the new drive and format it. It
will then become available as E:. You can change the drive letters if you
want. You can not add the two drives together to make them look like one
drive.

You should also clean up your first hard disk, and perhaps tell Windows
to use your second hard disk for virtual memory instead of the first one.
(System Properties -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory is somewhere in there)

It wouldn't automatically use a second drive or a second partition. It's up
to you to tell the computer where to put things.
