Using Tracert

I'm using the tracert command - it works fine with an IP address, but when I try using it with a URL, www.microsoft.co
I get the error "Unable to resolve target system name www.microsoft.com
Any help would be grateful

Damien,

It sounds like DNS is not working correctly on the system. Make sure that
you have DNS servers set up on the network adapter connection used to
connect to your network and that these DNS servers are reachable over port
53.
