Using TMPEG

I saw papajohn's advice about downloadiing this software and he has a link on his website. (using it to convert AVI files to MPEG so they can then be imported into Pinnacle Studio 8 and burned to a VCD). The only thing I was able to get to load was a 14 day trial period of using TMPEG and then have to buy it. But I thought from reading the advice that perhaps there is a version that is a free download? Did I misunderstand - is there a free download, or just free for 14 days? I have used it over these past couple weeks and it works great. What a difference in the quality. Thanks for any help - Ladybug

The link on my Setup > Software page takes you to a page that says it's
available in a free version (with a 30 day MPEG2 encoding trial). That's
been my understanding and experience with it.

burning VCDs doesn't need MPEG2, so it should work as a free utility for you

It's the standard version that is free, not the Plus version
