I installed the Snapshot viewer using Office 97 SR2b. The
instructions say to go to file_ saveas/export_ and save
the file with the file type .snp. Even after I installed
the snapshot viewer, I don't get the option to choose .snp
format. Am I missing a step?

The Snapshot Viewer (as the name implies) has nothing to do with the
ability of Access 97 to create Snapshot Files. It is merely needed to
*view* them.

Access 97 simply needs to be at SR1 or higher to be able to create
Snapshot files. If you are at SR2 and do not see Snapshot as an option
it suggests that you have missing registry entries.

The beginning of my instructions says "On the Reports tab
in the Database window...", I don't see a reports tab, so
I was in a database and started with File_ SaveAs/Export,
Where is the Reports tab. You will have to forgive me. I
have never used Access before, I'm trying to help someone
in the office share a database with others in the office.
Thank you for your help.

The database window has tabs (or buttons) for viewing "forms",
"reports", "queries", "modules", etc.. The reports window is there if
you look.
