Using the same subreport for two different reports

I have two reports that are similar except for the sort order. I have one
subreport that I use for both. However, the subreport has a value that is
determined in part by a value in the main report. Is there any way I can
make this subreport work in both reports, or will I have to have two
different versions of the subreport?

You might be able to refer to the main report as [Parent] rather than the
actual name of the report.

I tried, but the field came up as '#Error'.

I just test this by creating a simple subreport with a text box and control
source of:
=Parent.Name
I place this subreport into a main report and previewed the main report. The
text box displayed the correct name of the main report.

OK, now I feel stupid. I misspelled the field name. Now it works. TNX
