Using soundcard of remote computer

I have recently turned my old home computer into an MP3
system directly plugged into my stereo system. I'm
controlling it with Remote Desktop. Much to my dismay I
realized (after I got the whole things set up) that
remote desktop is designed to play the MP3s over the
CLIENT sound card. Can anyone tell me how I could
control the MP3 computer remotely while playing the MP3
over the remote HOST computer's soundcard? Many thanks
in advance!

There is a known bug with the current Remote Desktop implementation
that limits access to the "server" sound card. The workaround is to
start Media Player (or some other program that "captures" your sound
card) before you connect via Remote Desktop.
