I have a small medical office where we have a network of five computers. I
would like to be able to send a pop up message to users on my network and
have found the Send Console Message tool but I cannot make it work. We share
printers and have a Server for our medical software, which is where I think
we are connected. That may be causing the problem but I cannot figure out
how to get around it.

I know just enough about computers to be dangerous, so if you have
suggestions can you keep to the KISS principal, please. Thanks.

For more information about the Msg.exe tool, search for MSG
in the Windows XP Help and Support Center.

what you can use depends on your operating systems and how fancy you want to
be. you can use things like windows messenger, there are some cheap or free
popup tools, or you can open a command prompt and just type:

net send * this is my message
