So, I would like to be able to type text I am searching for into a box on my
Form, then have access go and search the links in the database list and check
each file's contents for text I had just entered.

Basicaly I want Access to perform a Ctrl + F function in each hyperlinked
file in my database im not sure if this is possible but if it is help would
be appreciated.

One thing about being new to Access is that it's hard to describe
specifically what you are trying to do. There were so many choice-of
terminology / use-of-terminology problems with your post that it is unclear
what you are specifically trying to do.

Your information is stored in tables which are "rows" of data, each column
is a field. Could your clarifiy what part of your table you want to
search (certain columns?), whether you want to display matches one by on or
all at once, and, if you are searching hyplerlink fields, portios of the
contents (display text, the hidden target etc.) you want to search.

A good starter is to click on the field you want to search, then click on
the binoculars icon, then use then ensuing dialog box to do your search.
