Using Rules Wizard to set form template to auto reply

I've spent countless hrs trying to get my computer to send
an automated out of office reply message.

When using Rules Wizard:
I selected New
Check messages when they arrive
When name in to box: check box
Reply using specific template: check box
Double click on specific template
Under standard templates all I get is "mail" an oOFT file
I cannot for the life of me insert my message into this
template or even create another that it can point to, as
it appears to be set to look for an OFT file....please
help.
