I have a laptop and was told I could link to my computer at work.
I have windows xp on both computers and i just need to print to my printer at work
I am not very good at this and would be real appreciative if someone could email me and tell
me how

By "you were told you could link to your computer at work," do you mean your
IT staff told you this, or you read that it was technically possible?
There's remote desktop for Win XP Pro, but much depends on what is open in
your company's firewall, and what their security policy is. Best place to
start would be to check with whomever runs your network at work.

In addition to Lanwench's response, we would need a whole lot more
information on your office's configuration.... That is why you should
contact your internal IS/IT personnel...
