I am using real producer to create some audio files which
I want to use with power point. Is there any way of
getting power point to recognise these files or is there
another piece of software available to do this??
the audio file is 20 minutes long each one and I am
trying to link this into power point from office 2000.

Rather than inserting the sound, insert a link to the file. Type some
text, highlight the text, and choose Hyperlink from the Insert menu.
Choose the option to link to another program or file (the details vary
based which version you are using), but you can find specific
instructions for 2000 at:

The sound will not play within PowerPoint, but it will open up RealPlayer
(assuming that is loaded) and play your sound.

And if you have Real Player installed on your system, you can expect to have
tons of problems in the future with multimedia in PowerPoint . Real Player
hyjacks and alters your MCI settings, but PowerPoint depends on the settings
as they are. Once they are altered, PowerPoint will start choking when you
ask it to play videos, etc.

Real <SPIT> Player deserves ...

Never mind. Don't want to bring such violent, grisly images into a family
forum.
