Does anyone know how to embed quicktime movies (.mov)
into a powerpoint 2000 presentation. MS does not seems to
support this, but saving tyhem as .avi files seriously
degrades them.

Thanks for you help

The only things that gets embedded are .wav files. everything else is linked.

Sorry, what I mean is that if you try to import a .mov
file, ppt says it does not support it. When you convert
the file to an .avi it is seriously degraded. I can link
via a button to play the file, but then it does not start
within the ppt presentation and does not start
automatically. If you ca shed any light please?

http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/ppquicktime.html may help
explain what's happening. Older versions of QT worked better than the
newer versions (which won't really work at all).
