I'm trying to use a sendobject macro to send a query in Access 2007, and I
would like to modify the file name based on a field in the query. Is this
possible? Or can the file only take the name of the query?

Hi Brian,

I think you could using the DLookup() function in the field where you
specify the the file name. But I have to wonder: Is this a query that only
returns one row? If not, how do you know which row to get the file name from?

Clifford,

Thanks for the response. I don't remember seeing a field to specify the file
name within the sendobject action. Am I missing something?

As for your question, the query I want to use to control the file name is a
parameter query where an employee enters their ID number it it returns the
office that they're located in. It is only one row. I want to add their
office location to the name of the file that is being sent.

Hi Brian,

I never received notification of your post :-(. Did you get this
resolved?
