Help! I'm a novice. Never used newsgroups before. Main puter was crashing.
Have back-up .pst file for MS outlook copied it over a .pst file on another
computer of my daughter's. Without thinking, just copied it over the .pst
file without saving a copy of the original file. I took off "read only"
which caused the files to import, BUT commands at the top of the screen do
not work properly.
1. click on TO and there is no address book from which to choose. (Contacts
are present in contacts. Old e-mails are present. )
2. I created a new addy, but I can't establish a new default address book.
(Have to click on it each time)
3. Clicking on tools, then address book--says " the address list could not
be displayed. Contact folder...could not be opened...may be moved, deleted
or do not have PERMISSION."
4. What is this permission about? It's my file from my other Outlook. I
have no clue of a password.
5. Would the password be the sevice provider password?
6. Should I try changing the password?
7. Trying to find "find". There is no Find under tools.
Thank you..reply to (e-mail address removed) barbt47
