I need to design a report that will print on 2 sides, the
back side being boiler-plate contract language and the
front has a deliver ticket items.

I think I need to use the PrtDevMode property but am not
familiar with it. Are there any articles, documents or
samples that could help me with this?

Thanks,
Sandy

Sandy:

Based on what you are saying you want to do, I'm not sure prtDevMode will do
anything for you. But perhaps you haven't explained your task sufficiently
or why you thing the devmode will allow you to accomplish it. If you need
to print two sided, a.) your printer has to support it, then b.) set that in
the report's print properties by selecting to use a specific printer and
setting the printer's properties to print two sided, (then you can reset to
use the default assuming that it support's two sided printing.) Last, simply
save the report.

Steve,

Thanks for the input. You are correct, I was trying to
make it more difficult than it needed. My first thought
was I wanted to use the default printer (since this will
be on a network and the names are different sometimes) but
you cannot change the settings on the default printer. I
would still have the same trouble with the prntDevMode
seleting the DeviceName anyway. So I think setting up the
specific printer will be the way to go.

Since I do not have a two-side print feature on my
printer, I am developing this for a client and will test
it at their site, so it makes it a little tricky to see
how it works.

Thanks again.
Sandy
