Using prefabricated templates

I am a teacher using a CD-ROM that came with my new textbook. This CD has
Powerpoint presentations that can be edited for content. However, whenever I
copy and paste to a new presentation, I only get the content, not the
template or the background, and it does not look the same way. Thus, I am
having to delete slides I do not want for individual presentations (time
consuming as there are 700 premade slides). There has to be a way to get the
WHOLE slide (content, template, and background) to copy and paste into a new
presentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to the other suggestions, you can choose Format Design and apply the
sample presentation *as a template* just as you would any other design template.

John,

Thanks so much for your help. Your suggestion worked perfectly and will be
useful when I am editing these presentations.
