Hi sishian
I should say a very nice attempt to ask that question. No need to
upgrade to PowerPoint 2010 all the features can also be available in
PowerPoint 2007.
Have you heard about "authorSTREAM", its a presentation sharing site
and provides you with all the features like embed video from website,
convert PowerPoint to video, broadcasting and many more "
http://www.authorstream.com/new-on-authorstream "

To know about all this in detail, come and join the class on
PowerPoint- http://www.wiziq.com/online-class/456473-powerpoint-2007-advance-course-for-beginners-class-v

If you mean video embedding, then yes, you'd need to use PPT 2010.
Earlier versions don't embed video.

Broadcasting, I don't know.  Sorry.

Hey steve, that what I was trying to explain....you dont need to use
powerpoint 2010 for video embedding or broadcasting ....just try
authorSTREAM http://www.authorstream.com/ free plug-in to add video
to PowerPoint 2007 and for all other features.
