Had to have a m/b upgarde and when I got the pc back from the repair the hard
drive had been partitioned into C: & D: ___ Everything (XP and all files for
3 users) is on C: with D: completely empty.

Can I just move all the "Files Stored on This Computer" over to D: and when
I click on "My Documents" on the Start Menu will the files show up or is it
more complicated than that ?

Thanks for your advice.

It's a bit more complicated that that. You can move the "My Documents"
folders quite easily:

How to Change the Default Location of the My Documents Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310147

Moving the whole Documents and Settings folder is a bit more involved:

An error message informs you that you cannot move or rename the
Documents and Settings folder
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314843/

Other than the user folders there isn't really all that much that can
easily be moved from the C:\ to the D:\ partition. You can move
archived files and the 1386 folder but not much of anything else that
will gain any substantial disk space on the C:\ drive. You can also
move the Pagefile but it may lead to a slight drop in performance if you
move the pagefile to a different partition on the same hard disk.

Another alternative (the one I would use) would be to use a third party
partitioning tool like BootItNg or Partition Magic and rejoin or merge
the D:\ partition into the C:\ partition. That is a bit complicated but
not altogether that hard to do, it is for most part quite safe to do but
there is always a risk of errors and partition errors can lead to
catastrophic loss of all the data on the disk.
