Using Parameter Values in a qry and Merge to MS Word

I created a qry that asks for a value of a specific field.
I use this qry as my merge data connection in MS Word.
When I open the Word document a box appears that says it
can't find the data source. But it will find the data
source if I change the qry so it isn't asking for the
parameter value. Can this be done and if so how? Thanks
in advance.

Thanks, but that source did not help. I can't even

select the parameter qry from the qry list (it doesn't
display)because it is a parameter qry. But when I took
out the parameter in the qry and I was able to see the qry
in the list. That is defeating my purpose though. Any
other suggestions?
 
1. Did you use DDE as per step 6 in the artcle?

2. Did you check the MSKB article 211353 mentioned in the article after
step 11?
