using outlook on a workgroup and domain

I have a home network and also connect my laptop to my
work place domain. I have set up outlook at home but when
i connect to the domain i get a new blank Outlook with
none of my stored calendar and contacts. How do I get to
use the same outlook in both places?
 
You would need to establish a VPN into work - as your Exchange admin to set
it up. Alternatively, you can use Outlook Web Access - again, ask the
Exchange admin. You cannot use "the same Outlook" from home and work but
access to the Work Exchange mailbox for Outlook can be arranged with the
Admin.

Rightly so, many corporations do not want home users accessing folders
directly from their home computers since so many are woefully lacking in
security and current AV/Firewalls.
