We have Windows XP Home installed and my wife would like
to be able to access our e-mail from her desktop. Right
now she needs to log into my account. Is this possible?
If so, How? Thanks

Well, personally, I prefer to only have ONE Windows XP
log-in...FAMILY. If you have more than one Windows log-
in, you have to fix up EVERY desktop with all the
preferences and stuff that takes a LOT of time and effort!

If you use Outlook Express with a single Windows log-in,
you can set up more than one identity (which extends to
your address book as well). Then you just switch
identities when you want to check your own e-mail.

If you want to stay with Outlook, and two Windows log-
ins, you SHOULD be able to access Outlook from them both.

I take it you want to both access the SAME Outlook .pst
file. When she opens Outlook in her desktop, she should
use the FILE menu, then choose OPEN, then OUTLOOK DATA
FILE. The default .pst file is titled "Outlook" and she
can open it from there. After the first time, I believe
it will come up automatically, but I'm not sure.

At any rate, if you are both using the SAME Outlook file,
with only one e-mail address, and one list of contacts,
etc., you probably would be better off to simply make
only ONE Windows log-on (desktop). Just remove her user
name and use yours (the computer will automatically boot
to it, if it's the only one.
