Hi,

Today I got a free trial disk for AOL and have installed it on my laptop.
I have set my phone up as a modem on my laptop and when setting up AOL, my phone was found as a modem, so I selected it for use with AOL.
When AOLs installation tries to dial up through my mobile phone, my mobile phone dials the number but then just says 'Call 1' on its screen, after a while AOL gives up.
Does anybody know why this is?

Thanks

I have a similiar problem with my Sony Erricsson T610... our home phone line is snapped in two dangling from a tree and wanted to get online to check email... I couldn't make it work despite the phone being configured as the modem...

Pass...Sorry.

Actually is there not a Nokia communication suite? Try using that, and instead of AOL's number, use your WAP number, as set up in your phone.

My WAP is the ISDN type, not Analog, and if yours is maybe it's just incompatible with AOL...

No, that doesn't work, PC Suite is just used to set the phone up as a modem. After that you just have to use an ISP like usual. Thanks a lot for trying anyway.
If anybody else knows how to solve this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well the phone just says 'Call 1' on it's screen (after it has dialled the AOL number), which is the same screen as when WAP sometimes fails. Then a few seconds later, AOL gives up and says there has been an error.
