Using MSFax from MSWord changes my default Printer

Reposting this because I wrote the "Subject" description incorrectly .

When I send a FAX with MSWord, it sets my default printer to FAX permanently.
I have to manually go into Control Panel and reset my default printer from
FAX back to my Epson printer. Here's what I do. After completing my fax I
select FILE, SEND TO, FAX RECIPIENT and in the drop down box where you select
"Which of the following is your fax program", I select FAX (default is my
printer). I complete the rest of the steps and send the FAX and the fax is
sent.
How do I keep MSWord from changing my default printer from Epson to Fax?
Thanks for the help.

Post your Word version.
Post your Fax software.
Why aren't you just printing to the Fax printer?

Russ, I'm using MSWord 2002 and the fax program that comes with WinXP (SP2).
I should note that the MS Fax option is ghosted out as a choice. (Not sure
if that makes a difference or not) . I'm not sure what you mean about "Why
aren't you just printing to the Fax printer". Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I
thought the way I described it was the correct way but maybe I'm wrong.
Thanks for the help. Mac

Word does not recognize Windows XP Fax. Use the Print command to Print to
Fax instead of the "Send to Fax Recipient" command.
