Hi,

I want to control a PowerPoint with my mouse but it never works and the
keyboard will only change it.

PowerPoint has had this problem since day 1 and now i have got 2007 and
still the same problem.

Is there a fix for this?

If not Microsoft Needs to be let know as its a real pain

Mouse control works fine for me, perhaps there is a misconnect in
understanding the issue.

Where is the mouse pointer when you left/right click? Are you using
Presenter's view?
Wired or wireless mouse? How far away from computer?

You said " it ( the mouse ) never works ...... ", but in the same breath,
you put the blame squarely on the PowerPoint and MS. Does that make sense to
you ?
Does your mouse work in any application at all.
You said " ... and the keyboard will only change it ". Change what " it " ?
You need to explain your problem better.
If it is hardware issue, i.e. your mouse, you are in the wrong newsgroup.

If you are in presenter view (two screens, one for the audience and another
for the presenter) a standard mouse must have the cursor in the advance area
(IIRC) for the mouse to cause an advance to the next slide. If you are
using a remote presenter, not a remote mouse, IIRC the advance button will
work just like a key press to advance the slide.

If this is not your issue let us know. If it fixes your problem also please
let us know.

Does your mouse work well or you just set up your powerpoint
presentation play with aotomatically ?
