In Outlook 2003 it is possible to select (in free/busy
options) the option "Publish and search using Microsoft
Office Internet Free/Busy service".

In Outlook 2000 you are only able to put a "Publish at my
location".

Does anyone know the url that could be placed in that box
in order for Outlook 2000 to function with the free/busy
service hosted by Microsoft ?

I don't believe Outlook 2000 has the extra bits needed to do the
authentication to the MS IF/B service.

Thanks Sue.

We have tried publishing to a local file using

file://servername/Ascari/FreeBusy/tim.surname.vfb

But Outlook 2000 does not publish this information at
all. Have you (or anyone else) managed to do this ?

Tim.

Unfortunately not - we have all the latest service packs. I've tried on XP
Home (Outlook 2000) and XP Professional (Outlook 2000) and still nothing is
published.

I wonder if ANYONE has this working or whether it was a feature put into
Outlook 2000 but not supported properly until Outlook 2002 ?

Tim.
