Using Microsoft Activesync appointments can't be synced

When I try to synch my appointments from my IPAQ I get the message " The
following appointment cannot be synchronized because Outlook is being used by
another program"

Why?
I have no other programs in use??????????????????

Apparently you do. Something is locking the profile in such a way that
ActiveSync can't access it. Do you have any add-ins?
(Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>Add-In Manager and COM Add-Ins)
