Using IE to launch IP sharing dialup router

I have a 3com Home Ethernet Gateway that allows me to
share a 56k dialup account across a small home network.
The dialup is initiated when someone opens their web
browser. Unfortunately by the time the dialup connection
has been made, the web page has timed out with the good
old "The page cannot be displayed". How can I increase
the amount of time IE waits before issuing that error?
