Hello,
I try to use ics files on a server (icalx.com). I would like to use it like
this:
I would like to use the external ics file (load the file at the start of
Outlook 07, make any changes in the ics file and afterwards update it on the
server).
I have tried nearly everthing but I do not succeed. Can anyone help me?
Best regards

does icalx.com support webdav publishing? what happens when you try to
publish it? changes made to the original calendar in your outlook will
update the server hourly.

The problem is, Outlook has two ways which are not programmed completely in
both ways:
1. I can publish a calender (this calender is shown under "published
calender"), but it isn't read when a change is made in the calender.
2. A calender can be included be WebDav, so the calender is loaded but i
cannot modify it (change a date or add a new one and so on...)

I hope, I have explained the problem correctly
best regards

1. Which calendar can't be modified? The one you published can be and
changes are uploaded to the published one every hour - assuming the service
you are using supports it.

2. Do you mean subscribed calendars? You can modify them if you have the
correct permissions on the server.

Hello Diana,
I know that the calenders which can be published, can also be modified. But
these calenders are not updated in Outlokk when a date or something else was
changes on another computer. So you never get the changes which are made from
another computer.
I have talked to the technical support of microsoft and the man agreed that
you cannot modify the ics file on a webdav server with outlook. I haven't
tested it yet but I will do this soon....
Best regards
Rudi
