Hi,

Can anyone refer me to some resources that show how to edit the "Local
Group Policy" using gpedit.msc from the command line.

Basically I need to add a startup script e.g. Local Computer Policy >
Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Scripts(Startup/Shutdown).

Or are there other command line utilities that can do this?

Thanks,

Thanks,
You create the startup script and then use the GPEDIT.MSC to point to where you stored it.

Shutdown/Shutdown script (XP Pro only):
Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC
Go to Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Scripts, Startup.
Browse to the location you have the EXE, VBS, or BAT file, and select it.

Group Policy HELP.

Type: secedit /? in a command prompt.

Command-line tools for Group Policy...
Paste the following line into Start | Run and click OK...

hh SPconcepts.chm::/commandline.htm

Hope this helps. Let us know.
