Using Ghost to clone Vista image -- error -- workaround?

So, I have a copy of Ghost 10.

This package has a bootable CD that I've used to make images of my XP
load sets for years now (by going to the "restore" option and "restore
from legacy image" you get to a point where you can run "Symantec Ghost
8.2" and copy disk to image...)

However, with Vista builds, if I do what I've done with XP builds, I
get to the point where it would want to start making/copying the image
and a dialog box pops up that says:

A source volume could not be locked as it is in use by another process.
Do you wish to attempt to force a dismount on the volume?

ALL OPEN HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID.

OK. This would make sense -- *if* I was booted from Vista. But I'm
not. I'm booted from CD-ROM.

Any suggestions here as to what might actually be going on here?

It just sounds like it might simply not work with Vista. Some people have
reported troubles with ghosting and BitLocker... but still, might just be a
dodgy product?

I thought about that, but this is with a cleanly-reformatted current
(cough) build of Vista. 5308 did that as well. BitLocker isn't
even turned on at this point.
