Hi

I launched MS Frontpage for the first time and I have been alerted by Norton's that c:\program files\microsoft office\office10\frontpg.exe is attempting to access the internet. I cannot find much information on this under Help. I would like to ensure that this is valid exe file, as I found in Google that this file should be located in the system directory, and some general information on the access requirements of Frontpage.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

To utilise FTP/HTTP publishing Frontpg.exe needs to be added to the Program
Exception List in the Firewall Settings

Your Googled info is wrong
Unless you do a custom install w/ a unique location, the FP executable (FRONTPG.EXE) is:
In FP 2002 the FP executable is in
c:\program files\microsoft office\office10\
In FP 2003 the FP executable is in
c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\

Frontpage will need to access the net, especially if it's publishing your site.....so put it in your "safe applications" list in Norton Firewall/Security.
