I am trying use the Format Function as a calculation in a query in access
2000 database.

This is the field

Delivery_Month: Format([Del Date],"mmm")

It works fie when the query runs under Access 2003 on another computer but
not when the database is opened on teh machine running Access 2000.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Broken references would be my first guess.

Hi

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately it is not that easy. I also use the field in in a DatePart
function in the same query and that bit of it appears to work.

I'll trying for an answer.

Thanks

I don't see how that is relevant. Broken references cause some of the built
in functions (like format()) to malfunction. That is what you are
experiencing. The fact that DatePart() happens to not be affected changes
nothing.
