Using Find & Replace

I am trying to change a numeric field to text in my worksheet. The worksheet has approx 55,000 lines. I initally was going into each cell and editing the cell to include the single apostrophe. This has become very time assuming and I have another notebook that i have to do the same thing. Is there an easier way to accomplish this task using the find & replace? I also tried using the autofilter for cells with the same values, but it still is very time consuming
I would appreciate any help on this difficult task

- try formating the whole column as 'Text' (Format - Cells')
