If you just want to get it done and over with, use dnscmd.exe in a script
would be faster then struggling with the WMI provider. w2k3 has a better
version of dnscmd also.

Hi,

I need help using the tools in dnsprov.zip to update the name server records
for 'each' zone on our DNS server for customers websites.

what can I do to to get a script to check each zone on the dns server and
modify the name servers (NS) records to name servers of my choosing?

Help would be really really appreciated!

Many thanks,

Oliver

Hi,

I initially tried dnscmd but have only had luck changing singular zones. I
haven't managed to understand it well enough to get it to update all zones
on the server.

If you can help further this would be very much appreciated. I've searched
Google for dnscmd lessons but haven't found anything relating to updating
all zones in the dns MMC console. Infact trying to ascert my authority over
the script ( and miserable failing ) is giving me a headache!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Oliver
