using code to retrieve a work group

I have some code which retrieves the current user logged in. I perform tasks
based on the user name.

I would like to do a similiar thing but I want to base tasks on the group(s)
a user belongs to. Can anyone let me know of code to retrive which groups
the logged in user belongs to?

Any help greatly appreciated.
