I have two hard drives already, a 52x CDRW and a DVD-ROm drive. I have
purchased a DVD writer and I want to have all five drives in my system.

I am using Windows XP......will it automatically recognize one of these
Ultra ATA 133 PCI cards? Or do I have to install the software that comes
with it???

Install the card and see if it's recognized. If not, install the
drivers. Did you really need to ask?

3 out of 4 questions are like this. You can have a day job answering like that.

Some questions are even asked when someone else asked it first a day earli-
er when that question wasn't asked for months before. They obviously don't
accept someone elses solution and demand their own personalized answer.

Other questions have the answer written all over them (hiya Mark!)
where people started out with the answer to setup their question.
(Sleepwalking not quite knowitall "Tom" actually thinks that
most of the questions here are like that, made-up by a Roddles
'alternate identity' and then answered by Roddles himself).

If you expect it to work with the standard IDE drivers, no for Promise, yes
for CMD and I expect SiL.

Or they dont bother to read whats been asked recently.

Hardly anyone does.

Rather pathetic, really. Fortunately even if he does
completely off his trolley, he cant actually bite us etc.

Dave

You have to install the drivers supplied with the card.
