I am trying to add an address book to outlook 2000. Every
answer says to go to TOOLS menu. Then to click on SERVICES
Tab. Problem is there is no srvices tab. Can anyone help?

Hi Don,

Add an address book

1.On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
2.Under Directory, click Add a new directory or address book, and then
click Next.
3.To add the type of address book you want, do one of the following:
--------Add an address book using an Internet directory service (LDAP)
1.Click Internet directory service (LDAP), and then click Next.
2.In the Server name box, type the name of the server your Internet service
provider or system administrator gave you.
3.If the server you specified is password protected, select the This server
requires me to log on check box, and then type your user name and password.
4.Click More Settings.
5.Under Display Name, type the name for the LDAP (Lightweight Directory
Access Protocol (LDAP): A protocol that provides access to Internet
Directories.) address book that you want to be displayed in the Show names
from the list in the Address Book dialog box.
6.Under Connection Details, type in the port number provided to you by your
internet service provider (ISP) or system administrator.
7.Click the Search tab, and then change the server settings as needed.
The search time-out setting specifies the number of seconds Microsoft
Outlook spends searching the LDAP directory to resolve names in a message.
You can also limit the number of names listed in the Address Book (Address
Book: The collection of address books that you can use to store names,
e-mail addresses, fax numbers, and distribution lists. The Address Book may
contain a Global Address List, an Outlook Address Book, and a Personal
Address Book.) after a successful search on a name.
7.Under Search Options, if the Search base box is not filled in, type the
distinguished names (distinguished name: Uniquely identifies a person or
group across all Internet directories. Consists of several descriptive
attributes, such as Common Name, Organization, and Country. An example of a
distinguished name is: cn=Jeff Hay, o=Microsoft, c=US.) provided for you by
your administrator.
8.Click OK, click Next, and then click Finish.

Please let me know has this helped You...
Thank you...
