Hi all.

I have a laptop that I use at home (workgroup1).
I work in two different places (workgroup2 and workgroup3)
How should I configure things so I will be able to see other files in other
computers in the workgroup.
All places have simple networks (workgroup only, now servers).

Thank you

Leave it the way it is. Don't depend on "Network Places" to show you
everything. You need to know the names of the machines and shares that you
access and type them in at the "Run" line or in the Address Bar of Windows
Explorer (\\machinename\sharename). When prompted for credentials, use the
credentials relative the the target you are getting it from
("machinename\username" then the Password) ,...your own credentials on your
own machine mean nothing.

The second option is to rename your workgroup on the machine to match the
workgroup where you are at. Do it once when you first arrive,..leave it that
way till you leave. "Network Places" will probably work fine in that
situation. It only takes a couple minutes to rename and reboot.
