Does anybody know how to get windows xp to save all data on
another drive, instead of the hard drive that windows is
installed on? So for example if I install a program or save
a document, it will automatically install and save on a
different drive. Is this possible with XP?

You cannot configure Windows XP to "automatically install and save on a
different drive." You need to define exactly what you wish to be saved to
another drive and then configure each item separately.

I have a 2nd drive that I save all data on. I beleive if
you move your "my documents" folder from the C: drive to
the new drive it should save items there by default. At
any rate whenever you are prompted to save or install
something you can just seek out the new drive location and
save it there. Hope this addresses your concern.

Try HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion.
There you can set the default install folder to another Drive/Folder.
