I want to connect two LANs using Windows 2000 server as a router.
I have installed two NICs in the machine and connects the two LANs on each
NIC.
Then i have configured routing and remote access.

Problem i can't access any resources from one LAN to the other.
What have i missed?

Thanks.......

The machines on each subnet must have their default gateway set to the IP
address of the Server NIC connected to that subnet. If LAN machines need to
use a different default gateway to access the Internet or other resources,
then you will need to configure a static route on the gateway device or the
individual computers.

I have done this, and had to put in a "MANUAL ROUTE" to make sure that the
routes were proper.
check the ROUTE PRINT command. You should see the route for each interface.
route add IP-ADDR Subnet-Mask gateway.

I think you'd be far better off to just buy a cheap standalone router.

Then you don't need the PC powered up and running all the time.
