Using a Movie Maker project in Vista that was created in Movie Mak

You don't need to convert it.... once opened in Vista, the file won't work
again in XP. It's a one way street.

If you are going from XP to Vista you don't need
to convert it.

What you do need however is to include copies
of 'all' the source files. The .mswmm project file
does not include source files it simply records
the path to the current location. Once you have
the .mswmm file and all the source files in a folder
on the Vista hard drive...open the project file and
right click the Red Xs and Browse to the source
files to re-establish the path.

Beware...the Vista...mswmm file cannot be used
on an XP system. As PapaJohn says...
"it's a one way street".

Solutions that work for

Proceed at your own risk

Save the project file witha different name, such as video 2, then import
this into Vista. Then if you run into trouble, you have a back up you can
fall back on in XP.
