Using a macro how do i hide cells and colunms

I am setting up a matrix spreadsheet and would like to hide colunms when they
are not needed. I am listining all the possable configerations in rows and
when the options are not needed i would like to enter a N in a cell to hide a
complete colunm.

You may want to ask this Excel question in an Excel newsgroup. This
newsgroup is for a different program, Microsoft Access.
