I have my home network set up so all computers in my
house connect thru my XP machine for DSL access. They
have a common workgroup name MSHOME.
How do I get my MAC ibook to work on this network to get
the internet connection from my XP machine?
PLEASE HELP if anyone knows how to do this.
When setting up the config on my XP it offers to make a
setup disk for the other computer, however it won't work
because the other computer is a MAC...I am using a
Linksys router.

A question: why are you implementing connection sharing? Does the
router not do DHCP for your internal network?
Either way, the only thing you should need to do is set the iBook to
look for its IP address, subnet mask and gateway info via DHCP. If that
fails, look at the internal IP address that the XP machine is using and
configure the iBook with IP info within the address range specified by
the subnet mask (if this is all greek to you, you might want to get a
quick primer on IP addressing) ...
