I've got a laptop running xp pro that logs in through a domain when I plug
it into the ethernet cable at work. When I plug it into my home network
(which is workgroup based), through a switch, I can connect to the internet,
through one of the PCs on the network, but I can't see any of the PCs.

I'd like to be able to share files between the laptop and other computers on
this "alternate" home network.

Any suggestions?

I have installed a second network card in my laptop for my home connection, obviously with its own policies and address etc. This works well for sharing files and internet connection, which I gain through a proxy server on my home machine.
Hope this helps
