Hi has anyone tried to run software from their removable hard drive?
I have managed to install software on slave hard drives before so
wondered if it can be done on the ipod?
If so will this mean I can carry software with me and use other peoples
machines as the 'window' to access it from?

Of course it can be done.

That depends how much of an ''installation'' the software needs. If it
is self-contained and everything is on the removable drive, then
it will work. Usually that is not the case for windows software.

For Linux, e.g., it looks a bit better. Most current software
will work in a different machine with shared libraries. Nearly
everything will work if compiled statically or the libraries
are also on the removable media and added o the loadt-path.

Have now found a way to do this by running Ceedo which acts as a
removable opperating system. All files apps and cookies go on to the
usb drive?
