I cannot receive or send email via my comcast account.

When I set up the parameters, I entered mail.comcast.net for receiving and
sending. I left the POP3 field alone.

Where did I mess this one up?

This sounds like the same problem I had when setting my Windows Mail to
manage my Road Runner E-mail. I had to go to my ISP help page to find the
POP3 server ID. You also need the ID for the outgoing mail server (I forget
the term used for it)

I'm having the same exact problems, only I can receive, but not send. My
outgoing mail server is mail.comcast.net and I've been on the phone for over
an hour trying to figure out what the deal is. Comcast says it's a problem
with the Windows Mail app. Anyone else have any problems here?

The outgoing mail server for Comcast smtp.comcast.net, NOT
mail.comcast.net. LOOK at the mail I sent below. The pop3 and SMTP
Comcast addresses ARE DIFFERENT.

typo on my part, actually. Sorry. All my server designations are correct and
have been. Incoming, mail.comcast.net; Outgoing smtp.comcast.net

Outgoing port is 587, incoming is 110

yet I still cannot send mail via Windows Mail- I can only receive. Any ideas?

Are you sure your ISP is Comcast?
Your headers say you're connecting via AT&T/SBC/PacBell DSL.

I would help to see the exact error message.

Please help. I've been having same issue since migrating from Comcast to
Roadrunner. Cannot send from Windows mail. Where can I find the ISP help
page to obtain the pop3 server ID and the outgoing mail server info for
roadrunner? Deseperate for help.
Thx,
Rae
